Interior design of “tapas” bar D picos Pardos on Blesa Street, the continuation of the famous Blai Street in Barcelona. The place was a perfumery warehouse, so a complete rehabilitation was necessary in order to make the new use of the place and meet the bar’s European standards. My task was just decorate the space, not reform it. So, I decided to base the concept on the original orange and black 70’s floor and the 70’s school esthetic to choose colors, materials, furniture and lamps that maintain a similar feel. Additionally, the client’s budget was pretty tight and they had some conditions: they wanted a wood bar, some industrial elements (some lamps) and avoid to much flashy colors on the walls and for the decorative elements.
